Resources and Services
ACC's Student Development Office exists to provide programs and services that impact the quality of student life -- supporting academic and professional success, spiritual formation and commitments to living in community. The are those services most pertinent to the needs and interests of Access adult learners.
ID Cards
A Charger Card is issued to each student when he or she enrolls. Cards are required for entrance to some on-campus facilities. Students may also put funds on their cards for use in the dining hall and at campus vending machines. For more information on Charger Cards, click here.
Library
The ACC Library provides a wide variety of resources, services and technology to both students and faculty. The library collection includes 65,000 volumes and a variety of online journals and other research sources. Research assistance is available to students at the main desk on the upper floor of the library. The library also houses a variety of study areas, a computer lab, and learning support services.
Hathcock Center
The Hathcock Center, located on the Dodson Drive side of the campus, is ACC’s primary classroom building. It houses the Student Development Office and a variety of other student facilities. The Hathcock Center also houses locker rooms, fitness rooms, television lounges, a game room, snack room, a lounge for students who commute to campus, music practice rooms, the campus clinic, a prayer room, the student mail center, the dining hall and the Heritage Room, a banquet/meeting room adjacent to the dining hall.
Bookstore
ACC does not currently have an on-campus bookstore. To purchase books or ACC apparel and other items, please visit our online bookstore at eCampus.com.
Health Services
ACC has a small on-campus clinic, staffed by a College employee who acts as an advisor, not as a physician. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. Students with serious medical problems are referred to local physicians or medical facilities. Students who do not already have health insurance coverage may purchase it at a nominal cost through the American College Student Association. Full-time students are required to have health insurance.
Counseling Services
Any student who is struggling to adjust, or is simply going through a tough time in life, is encouraged to seek counseling through the Student Development Office (call 404-460-2450). Atlanta Christian College utilizes a counseling intern in providing on-campus counseling services for students. Students desiring counseling may also be referred to appropriate off-campus services. Consultations are confidential.
Campus Ministries
In encouraging students to grow spiritually, we offer a wide range of ministries and opportunities, including chapel, small groups and mission trips. On Sunday evenings, members of ACC's spiritual life ministry team lead a service of praise and worship on campus. Because it is led by different students each week, the style and format of this worship is pleasantly unpredictable. The vespers service is frequently held outdoors, as weather permits.
Career Planning
Career planning information for students is available online.
